I almost feel uneasy about writing a journal about this, considering what happened the last time... but my page officially has 5,000 hits.

I'm nothing short of stunned. Last time I made a journal comment on this, I was shocked that I got over 1k hits. Of course that was four years ago...

So my darlings, thank you - thank you all!
And again, if you have any requests (the more specific the better) do shoot me a message and I would be happy to oblige (so long as it's reasonable).

1. What’s the last thing you wrote?
...A cover letter.
2. Was it any good?
I'd like to think so, but when I'm writing a comedic piece, I base my success on how hard people laugh. Which is a bit difficult when you're sharing stuff over the internet.
3. What’s the first thing you wrote that you still have?
Well, I have a story about a 1920s girl named Bella who framed the main character by stashing him into a jalopy filled with hooch, which got published in 9th grade. It was an okay piece, I guess. I'm not entirely sure what my English teacher saw in it.
4. Write poetry?
Yep. Not often, but when it comes, boy does it come.
5. Angsty poetry?
I've got dark poetry, nothing really angsty. I imagine angsty means you're crying over something and you want to die or something like that. No, mine's just dark, and I like it that way.
6. Favorite genre of writing?
I enjoy comedic genres as well as romance of the slashy kind. Sure, I can write drama really well if I want to, but I enjoy writing comedic situations the best.
7. Most fun character you’ve ever created?
Well, I did create this one girl who was the red-headed daughter of a viking lord and she drank booze and whooped butt with an axe. It was pretty fun to write her up.
8. Most annoying character you’ve ever created?
Ariel. It's not really so much that she annoyed me at the time, but she got way out of hand in terms of dealing out violence and public humiliation. One of my other characters actually had to subdue her craziness. She was all the worst parts of me, which scares me more than anything else.
9. Best plot you’ve ever created?
...Blast, I do have a best plot, but I don't particularly want to disclose it because there's a very high probability that I may get back to finishing this one.
10. Coolest plot twist you’ve ever created?
Again, there's no way that I'm telling. ^^
11. How often do you get writer’s block?
Often enough that it can get rather debilitating while I'm working on my own. Sadly, it seems like I need a cheerleader to keep things actually going. I'm a lot better at co-writing than I am at straight up writing in that respect.
12. Write fan fiction?
Yep. It's practically the only thing I write save for the select few special pieces. I find my style to be more comedic than anything else and it becomes exponentially more difficult to write comedy for characters that people are unfamiliar with.
13. Do you type or write by hand?
I used to write everything by hand. I still enjoy writing that way the best, but it's just not worth the effort of transcribing hand written notes to the computer. If I could hire someone to do it for me, that would be a different story.
14. Do you save everything you write?
If I typed it up on the computer, then yes. However, when it came to my dozens of notebooks that I was carrying around while we moved every so often... well, it just wasn't practical to keep a hold of them. I still have a couple notebooks of my favorite ideas, which eventually I'll transfer onto the computer.
15. Do you ever go back to an idea after you’ve abandoned it?
I try to, but then I often end up abandoning it again. I have a very poor track record when it comes to these sorts of things. A lot of the time, I just read my old stories and giggle at it.
16. What’s your favorite thing you’ve written?
Um.. well, tell the truth, it was probably one of the very few FF7 fanfics I ever put up online called Of Adoration. It boosts itself up in my book because I actually managed to finish that one.
17. What’s everyone else’s favorite story that you’ve written?
It's probably my original book length fanfic called Incidents of Madness, which I never finished. I enjoyed writing it very much as well, but I lost hope in ever being able to transfer all my written notes into computer form, especially when I began to rapidly lose interest in the fandom.
18. Do you ever show people your work?
I used to, back when I had friends in school that geeked out over the same fandoms I did. But everything changed when I got into slash fics. It made people uncomfortable, which I find unfortunate because I've only gotten better with age and maturity.
19. Did you ever write a novel?
Well, I wrote a fanfic that spanned easily through twenty-seven full sized notebooks written front and back of its pages - so yes, I think that should count.
20. Ever written romance or angsty teen drama?
Yes and yes. However, I am far prouder of the former than I am of the latter.
21. What’s your favorite setting for your characters?
Hmm, something far removed from normal daily life. I enjoy fantasy realms or historical settings. Writing about the future just doesn't do much for me. As for the situations, I enjoy a myriad of different situations ranging from sitcoms to tragedies.
22. How many writing projects are you working on right now?
Right now? Well, one specifically, but I have so many abandoned projects it's not even funny. Looking through my computer is like looking at a 50 car pile-up.
23. Do you want to write for a living?
YES. I wouldn't even mind if I wrote movie or TV scripts, I would love it. But I kind of need a job to support myself before I can even think of that.
24. Have you ever won an award for your writing?
Not really for my creative writing, but I have won an award for a novel letter to the editor about the importance of immigrant equality in 9th grade.
25. Ever written anything in script or play format?
Not so much strictly script or play format so much as writing out scripts for comic strips, which I then drew in.
26. What are your five favorite words?
Desperation. Tender. Indignation. Hollow. Canted.
27. Do you ever write based on yourself?
Never. It's not something that I enjoy.
28. What character have you created that is most like yourself?
Ariel. I didn't see anything wrong with her at the time, but when I look back at her now, I can only see all my misgivings and biases and wrongdoings.
29. Where do you get ideas for your characters?
Well, generally, what I mostly write is fanfiction... so... yeeah... Other times, they more or else evolve from the fantasy environment that I make up, fitting different niches that need to be fulfilled.
30. Do you ever write based on your dreams?
I've made scraps of notes from my dreams, but alas, nothing that can translate into some larger project.
31. Do you favour happy endings, sad endings or cliff-hangers?
I enjoy happy endings, but generally after so much grief and drama that oftentimes it's a Pyrrhic victory.
32. Have you ever written based on an artwork you’ve seen?
Only for a creative writing class exercise where we went to the art room and I wrote bad poetry on pieces I didn't really understand.
33. Are you concerned with spelling and grammar as you write?
Yes, always. I have a problem with commas. As in, I always seem to have too many of them. And then I keep missing things that my Open Office Writer doesn't exactly pick up... -__-
34. Ever write anything in chatspeak (how r u?)
Uh.. no. Never. The only thing I ever do is make smilies. }
35. Entirely in L337?
Quoi? I'm barely literate in chatspeak. L337 is just waaay beyond my level
36. Was that question appalling and unwriterly?
Yes, you should be ashamed of yourself. Bad meme.
38. Does music help you write?
Meh, sometimes. Whenever I've hit a block and I need mood music, I'll put something on, but otherwise I'm just as content without it.
39. Quote something you’ve written. Whatever pops into your head.
The call struck a cord within him in sync with his foreign feelings. And as soon as the presence was gone, the desperation in him returned an infinite fold, chilling his body until he felt almost too weak to move, yet rending his then unknown heart asunder through the fires of need.
He was going mad, wasn’t he?
His limbs, though they felt impossibly light, refused to move, the feeling and control he had within them withdrawn. Through sheer force of will, Sephiroth ignored the conflagration of desire that rendered his body immobile, his hands sluggishly reaching for the next journal.
40. NOW TAG 5 PEOPLE!
I gots no one to tag! -__-
